Chandana Bala Kalyan is primarily a Carnatic classical singer and has branched out to experimenting with parallel genre such as sufi, folk and bhajan…She has performed in the fusion circuit with musicians such as Louiz banks, Sivamani, Taufiq qureshi, Sanjay Divecha . She is a recipient of Aryabhama youth Award, Ananya yuva puraskara and Ghantasala youth Award. She has many singles to her credit composed and produced by her. She has featured in albums such as Badaboom by Ranjit Barot, Secret by Sanjay Divecha, Cosmic Chant by Rajeev Raja, Forest by Taufiq Qureshi and so on.

She has a few playback tracks in the movies to her credit.  She is constantly working towards bringing together devotional and spiritual poetry from various genres and presenting them in one concert.

She is a Coke Studio Artist and has performed with Amith Trivedi is the 3rd season. She has worked with experimental dance groups such as Nritarutya and accompanied independent dancers such as Vaijayanti kashi, Prateeksha kashi and so on, composed music for ballets and live performances. She is a regular in the jingle circuit and has many melodious jingles to her credit.

Currently she is residing in Bombay performing ( solo and with bands such as Sanjay Divecha and secret, Rajeev Raja combine, Viveick Rajagopalan collective and Indiva) recording and teaching.
